Custom/Hybrid AM ski lengths

Maybe I'm missing it somewhere but how are most skis measured? Are they however many inches - from a superjet or base ski? If so how do they stack up against other am hulls. I ask because I rode a rickter fr2 I think and two superfreaks this weekend both freaks -4.3. I enjoyed the length of the freaks but the rickter felt like a lighter wider superjet, it didn't get me all hot and bothered like the freaks did. I guess the point of this thread is how much longer are rickters,freaks,bobs,chans,roks.....compared to a superjet? Again sorry if im :deadhorse:Just trying to get my facts straight.

As far as I know everyone uses a superjet as a base ski
and all the hulls are shortened from that length

I had a Superjet when I first rode Crab's -5 freak and it was crazy how short it felt, and after riding my Chan for a month I jumped on Crabs freak and it felt like a Superjet haha. I can't imagine how a SJ would feel now

My rok r measured at 78 inches from bond line to bond line. Hope that helps. The long plate is 8 inches at the longest point.

Chan is a little over 76 overall and the bottom is -13.5 with flush plate

Foot rocket is 78" tip to tail. With flush ride plate it is 73"
