Amsoil Dominator at 40:1

That's what I'm running, and when I took my pipe off today the manifold is coated with black goo inside. This motor gets plenty of 30 second WFO runs - its not like I'm putting around in a no wake zone all day.

Now that goo is slick as so I'm pretty sure everything is more than sufficiently lubricated but I think 50:1 or higher might be a good idea. AMsoil recommends 50:1 but I have seen people here recommending 40:1.

Anyone agree or disagree?

I run Dominator @ 40:1 and have noticed alot of black at the exhaust outlet. Its not really goo, but over time it will layer up and get thick. My girlfriends ski (stock '03 SJ) is nearly spotless. Whats the deal? I run mine WOT every few minutes so the motor has a chance to get hot.

I'm gonna give the HP injector a try. I'll be switching from Yamalube.

isnt that what happens when you spit burned oil/gas into your exhaust? black "goo" buildup... I dont see why this is weird... some people might just be jetted slightly richer than others...

I run Dominator at 50:1 in my bigbore ported Jetworks motor.

Ewok runs dom 50:1 in his limited blaster and swears the motor loves it........

one thing Ive noticed is it does not smoke nearly as much as it did with a 40:1 penzoil mixture..

50:1 is 20% less oil than 40:1, so that makes sense that is smokes less.

i run the cheap stuff (valveoline $4.00 a quart) and dont notice any major buildup or anything, i hate paying $8 a quart or $30 a gallon for dominator.
