Maxima 927 is castor and ester, that is why it mixes well with gasoline and is relatively clean. It is the most user friendly castor but will still leave the exhaust system very nasty in a ski.

Hey Guys,
Just saw this thread.
The web page that is copied here in the thread is a misprint.
The R-50 DOES NOT contain 20% castor. That bullet point is for the Super Techniplate.
I have sent a note to Klotz pointing that out and they will get that misprint changed ASAP.

Hope that clears up any confusion.

I do have all of the Klotz products on hand at very competitive prices and fast shipping.
If you need any Klotz products, give me a shout. Any questions let me know.

Hey Rick, i remember a while ago when you posted here for a first time offering Klotz oils at great prices. You mentioned back then " ski-craft" oil.
Can you please elaborate again which of the 2 stroke klotz oils is "ski-craft" and most suitable for our engines. We run high performance engines with strocker cranks and power valves, however we dont race, but rather freestyle and high RPM is only reached at very short periods of time (1-3 sec).
I will be placing another order with you shortly. Thanks!

Sure,
The Klotz ski craft techniplate oil is a 100% synthetic oil that can be used in either a pre-mix or oil injection application. It can be used in motors with or without power valves. It is good for motors turning up to 10,000 RPMs. It burns clean and has rust inhibitors for marine application. It is also warranty compliant and lists the ski manufactures right on the bottle label. It will mix with pump gas blended with ethanol. It is also compatible with almost all other petroleum and synthetic oil's.

The R – 50 oil also is a 100% synthetic oil. It is made for premix only applications. It is a heavier duty oil built for motors that run 10,000+ RPMs to burn clean. It will mix with pump gas blended with ethanol. It also will mix with other petroleum and synthetic oils.

Typically, my first recommendation to customers with skis is the ski craft. But I have a lot of customers that have run the R 50 in skis and have had great luck with it. They love the performance and the protection that they get from it. They continue to buy it and love it. And of course it has that great Klotz smell to it just like the ski craft does!

I carry both of these products always of course!
A case price deal on the ski craft is 4 gallons shipped to your door in the lower 48 for only $156
A case price deal on the R-50 is 4 gallons shipped to your door in the lower 48 for only $164

Let me know if you have any other questions or are in need of any of the Klotz products at all.

Thanks,
Rick

I have run a case of ski craft, a case of R-50, and a gallon into my third case of R-50 in the past few years and every time I pull my engines apart they look mint inside.

I don't know if that's much of a scientific test, or if it proves much, but I'm going to continue running klotz R-50 @45:1.

I personally wouldn't run a non tcw oil in all but the most extreme condition for a jet ski engine...

The cylinders will look great but you will get the dreaded spooge build up in the cases and exhaust

Now if I were running laps on a 220 psi powervalve stroker all day long in the middle of summer I might run a castor or benol non tc oil. Otherwise klotz skicraft or quicksilver. Tc cert is not easy to get.

93 pump gas for two seasons.

Took the top end off for a checkup this summer and everything looks mint. Jetting and quenching of cylinder plays a big part with being able to run high compression wide open.

95 gram spring
135 mains
75 pilots
2.0 needle and seat on oem 38's.

I went down to 72.5 pilots this year because I was at 1/8-1/4 turn out on low speeds.

Not holding the throttle in the 3/4 range (lean spot on 38's) and keeping cooler fuel/oil coming in to quench the heat.

After w long WOT run I will blip the throttle as I slow down to keep dumping fuel in.
