another 155 pump?

Didn't want to thread jack so I will start this ..there was another thread about a 155 pump and I made a comment about using a sit down 155 ..are there more advantage running a OEM 155 than a 144 .I know its bigger but what else if any ..I know people r running 144 and 148 mag pumps i guess its cheaper to get a mag then a diff hull .more questions to follow if I get a responce

i went from a solas 144 to a oem 155 and lm happy with the gains. i also changed motor set up so i dont know a back to back test but i feel like it throws alot more water. you just need to spend the time on prop and nozzle sizing. 11949304_10154142951998496_3288191805521389307_n.jpg

Did u have to cut and reglass the pump shoe or buy converted plates to run it ..does the 144 pump and 155 pump have the same bolt pattern just bigger diameter .is there grinding the hull down in the pump area

I guess what I'm getting at is the Wifes xl700 .has new SBT 62t motor and 155 pump.donner ski .and I was wondering if I get a new am hull with a 155 pump shoe will I be happy with it or will it be under powered .the xl700 runs a good 45 mph .comes out of the hole OK but it also is about 400 pounds .so going with a am hull should be fine right

Your pump tunnel needs to be larger to match the flow the 155 requires. An am hull setup for 155 would be the way to go, add a skat prop to the 155 and bore the nozzle out as far as it can go.
