The paint scheme is going to be firemist cobalt blue with lime green turf white handle pole and some white and lime green stickers. So I thought this was fitting and I like how it looks with the oem cylinder and case color

Might as well plan on seeing a similar picture to this one for the next 2 weeks. Have i mentioned that i hate sanding?? Anyway tonight i Layed the last layer of 1708 under the pole area. That totals 119 oz of glass in the pole area and a little additional support from the foamed in sections on the sides of the pole bracket. Then I sanded and sanded and sanded. I will probably have a few more attempts at the body work before I spray primer to check for flatness as sanoman mentioned before. making progress though! It was 65 here today water temp is still around 40 degrees tho.

Alright haven't updated in a while but i have been getting some work done. Tray sides, back of ski/ pump area and bottom deck of the nose have all been worked smooth to something that im happy with. Not perfect but she ain't going to be no trailer queen either. I still need to finish the top deck of the nose and pole area. This is going to be the worst as it should look the best and is the most difficult to work on. All the other areas have been sanded down and rattle canned with filler primer. Got the hood breathers mocked up in the hood. They are 2 1-1/2" elbowed bulk head fittings that i plan to run shop vac hose from. Also got the pole mocked up and decided that I can cut it down. So im taking about an inch off the top and the bottom. Mostly wanted to do both sides so I could powder coat the metal brackets the same green as the engine parts. So I also got the pole cut and most of the sand blasting finished.

Finished up body work and got 3 coats of feather fill on now. Just sprayed the primer tonight. I do have a few pin holes I will need to go back and fill in but from the looks of it the body work turned out pretty good. There is a couple spots on the bottom deck that have a bit of an in dent but nothing worth going back to fix. Im hoping that I will be able to spray final paint later next. Then I have a few more parts to powder coat and its assembly time! Also got my turf ordered earlier this week. Only need a few more parts to complete the build.

Did some powdercoating today and started sanding the hull. Few pics of powder coat and the pole mocked together with everything painted. Unfortuantely the pole got sanded down again today for a recoat because I had some runs. Might as well get the kinks out before spraying the whole hull I guess

Paint sprayed. Turned out pretty good for single stage. You can see in the one hood picture the reflection of my hand/ phone. Just shows how well the paint blended and the minimal orange peel texture that it finished with. Had one run on the inside of the pole area but atleast you won't be able to see if with the pole on. The paint looks pretty dark in these pictures so I also attached a picture of the ski in my avatar that is the same color in the sun
