This is Chris (aka, DroidBoy800, SXR Chris, Kamikaze Chris) riding the red SXR and filming these Miller Park videos that the Buzzard posts in this forum.

I don't have the right equipment (Double Entendre intended :) ) to perform the stuff the Buzzard and the other guys do.! First, my '07 SXR is all stock except for the Skat Trak intake grate and Mac Masher footwells. So, my Cadillac lacks the power to do rolls and flips on the river but is great for jumping. Second, I've gotten a bit conservative in my old age. I'm trying to save my body from getting beaten up (have torn up knees and ankles, etc in the past). So, I don't go after every wake anymore. However, I will hit the big wakes, when they occur, hard and fast.

As for filming the guys, like I said earlier I'm not jumping every wake so I'm able to sit back and enjoy the show. The reason why the Buzzard is always in my videos is because he's really the only out there chasing every boat and hitting every wake. Some of the other guys are selective about the boat and shape & size of the wakes. The Buzzard is easy to film because I know his routine and landing spot. So, I can set up either inside or outside the "V" on the left side of the boat. Believe it or not, I do try to film the other guys. They sometimes abort on the approach and go around. I typically edit out these aborts in the videos I publish. They can sometimes be unpredictable and I don't want to get in their way. So, I end up being further away from the action than I would with the Buzzard. And I trust the Buzzard! :)

Hey, I enjoy both jumping and filming!

Chris

Dont worry about what others say, you do not have to defend yourself. I sold my SXR a few years ago, there are times I miss it. Would rather ride it than my SJ........... Go out and do your thing.........

I may have, dont matter who it was, dude was darting around back and forth over the wake, no way I woulda been back there even if it was Eric Malone driving the dayum thing.
I was not the one that called him an Ahole though. That would be the MOD LOL.

You must have missed the "LOL, JK ;)"

Brian dont be scared I have been chasing That Boat With Those Guys at That Spot for over five years.
Come out when I take it into the surf.
I was just slashing around getting position for a video it was only mark and chris riding Port side.

If it was any of the others monkeys that have been showing up at miller I would have backed off.

Nothing like getting slideways on a big wake.

Hey Chris Please do us all a favor and stop using the anti shake feature with youtube it messes up the vids. that being said i wish i had someone to film me when everyone is out i seem to be the only one who looks at people when they hit a wave. Its also nice to watch people pull off huge tricks, I remember my first time out in the surf and Ryan and Bruce where doing these huge rolls right next to me and it really is a cool thing to watch.

Don't worry buddy, my camera has been out. I have some footage stockpiled. Waiting for waves worth filming though. Once I get some free time in the fall I will edit a few vids. Haven't had any spare time lately for sitting for hours editing.

I stopped bringing my camera. What I think would be really cool footage turns out looking real lame, whether its myself or someone else .. mostly because the waves always look real tiny in the video and I find it difficult to get close enough to catch anyone else. It would be nice to have someone with a real camera photograph us from the beach - those pics are the best.

if the camera is attached to the boat its filming, i think the vid is totally lame. it either shows the rider or looks forward. gopro footage sucks no matter what. it only sucks the least when the guy filming just about gets run over and mangled from the action.

Couldn't agree more. People ask me all the time why I don't use gopro's for my rides. Simple answer, first person go pro vids by themselves suck. I don't care how bad ass the tricks are, how huge the waves are, etc. it's just boring and it never does justice to the ride or the conditions. The only time I enjoy it is when you have good footage of some sweet stuntery, and you can edit it to where you see it from someone else's perspective then flash to what it actually looked like first person style.

Word to what the buzzard said. Any good footage I get of anybody, I'm practically on top of them. The one guy in our crew gets a lot of camera time because he isn't afraid to jump right over me. You have to ride super close if you want decent go pro footage.

Or have one of those cool quad helicopters. Those videos are bombass. Like the one of addict on his Chan.

Cool video...sweet rolls..and a jetmate. Its like like the clown car of jetskis. I wish I had one. Have you taken it off of any sweet jumps? I imagine the landings are rough. Whats the top speed on jetmate?

Samsung Note II

Try to avoid air, smacks down hard. Works great for carving and slashing the lip. have not got the top speed yet, fun little boat, went up river turned it off got in the back and had a sandwich while floating down the river.

I appreciate ANYONE taking the time out of their day to record video, edit, upload...anything! I'm ski-less at the moment, and the ski scene is literally dead here. So I love every video.

Keep it up guys!

I think I might just go buy the next jetmate I see now
