The rod through the hull on that dasa was really bad... Didn't look very used either.

Always blow out your engine after riding. Winterizing is also a good idea. That pic shows water sitting in the bottom end of a dasa. It was locked up solid. Oops.

Water level line on the crank is a always good.

Wow, major buzz kill. I'm a little confused as to how 1.5" of water got into the engine if it was ridden before putting it away. Or did it sink?

This entire thread is what I think of when I see skis on Craigslist with the phrase "ran great last year, just needs a battery".
