My AG 16 cell lasted about 13 months and now will not crank the ski. It has never been run down below 12.5v and never had to go into recovery mode or low charge. I am using their expensive charger specifically for the LiFePo batteries. It will show full charge but will rapidly drop to 11.5 v if disconnected from the charger. I guess I was lucky to get as long as I did out of it. I think they just use sub standard cells that crap the bed too soon.
Going to try the WPS and see what happens.

If I get 1 year use out of a battery, I consider it a victory.

So I got one year out of my 16 cell. Literally, the invoice date was 9 September 2013 and it failed 10 September 2014. They said the cells looked over charged. They warranteed it per their policy, though, so 50% off a new one.
The one they sent me is supposed to be their new "jet ski specific" battery. When I asked what that meant, he said they're "high juice" cells. I asked what that meant and he said "I don't know, I'm a warranty guy, not an assembly guy". So we'll see. I do love the concept of these batteries. I guess if I have to buy a new one for $150 a year, so be it... But I'm definitely going to try even harder to take care of this one.

Is the weight savings (and cost) worth the headache versus a known commodity like the Deka's? I toyed real hard with swapping out to wps this spring and decided I could buy two Deka's for the price of one of these and I have had Deka's last 3+ years with a TL and trickle charger in past. I went far enough to lay out a spread sheet listing the specs and prices of all the new lightweight batts versus the Deka's and Odyssey batts and couldn't bring myself to pull the trigger if I had to replace every season or sooner.
Not trying to bash those that do use them cuz every now and again I'll read one of these reviews where a guy is getting a couple seasons and is happy but I swear 3/4 of the responses are neg?.

So light, so small, and so much power. I put that fresh battery in and it felt like I could back flip off the starter alone!

They told me the same thing this week as well. P&P performance recommends and sells Ichargers for these batteries,this is what I and speedy used.Both still died. I was told my cells look overcharged,When I asked them the test used to determine over charged batteries on cells that had little to no voltage they said specifically the first 3 cells in line of the 20,looked like they had swelled. They further said that they had spoken to someone at the company who makes Ichargers and were told they could not handle more than 12 cells,so any of the 16 and 20 cell batteries would be damaged? For a battery that uses no balance port,and now is recommended to be charged with http://www.tecmate-int.com/ENG/u_optimate_lithium.php . Leaves one to wonder where they are going with that theory. The optimate lith looks like a nice concept for a charger to be connected for long term maintenance,But I really dont see the icharger overcharging individual cells though.its one of the best chargers on the market for any battery chemistry

The iCharger 106B we use is rated for batteries set up in 1-6 cell series. The batteries we use may have 16 or 20 cells, but they are 4 groups of 4 or 5 cells in parallel that are then grouped like 4 cells in series. So they're set up, used, and charged as a 4 cell series, not the 16 or 20 that the label says. No reason the iCharger shouldn't handle that.

Yep. They're smoking something good. Not sure where they pulled that information from. I'll go charge 100 lithium cells in parallel just because I can.

I'm sure they know they are in series since they build their own batteries. This is what their warranty dept and product manager stated when I told them what charger was used Use that info when u have to replace your next dead anti gravity batt
They replaced mine for free after some further discussion. So I'm happy either way He did say he would call a i charger rep again and verify after I questioned the theory.
Tyrant I use a 24 volt 60 amp icharger I could charge In parallel a dozen of them at once and still do it faster than the optimate charger

That's my feeling as well. The terminal plastic had hairline cracks all around them. I had epoxied over them all the way to the top terminal edge. The battery took less and less mah every time I charged it until it wouldn't charge at all. They stated it had no water damage when taken apart. Hmmm. You decide

I think the only solution to running lithiums is keeping them dry

They replaced yours for free...? How old was it? And how did you convince them to do that? Their prorated warranty is explicity written on their site...

Oh they deff went over that and asked for receipt at least 3 times. I told them I contacted p&p performance starting Sept 25th about it called,texted and Facebook megs .Wasn't provided a receipt from a small home business and hadn't got anything back other than he has been busy and switched phones It was close to a yr old but if u use your words wisely and speak to a manager it may be better to not have purchase date. Guess it depends on your knowledge of product and how likely u are to take no for a answer.prolly same way I got all the junkies in carts and drag cars in tona all night for next to nothing and wavejunki houses on the beach for free weekends to ride lol

Anybody been in contact with AG? I have one 12 cell that exploded on their tender. Sent in warranty paperwork, nothing back. Sent a few emails, nothing back. Tried calling with no answer and a full voicemail box

Got ahold of AG, returned two 12 cells and a charger. Could not warranty one of the 12 cells, but the other they offered a full warranty and an upgrade to a 16 cell for FREE!! They where a huge help
