I have seen plenty of used b pipes on here (as I’m sure you have) and there is always concern over stuck screws. I just bought a brand new mod pipe setup for my build and am thinking I should put antisieze on the screws to avoid this. I’ll be in the surf quite a bit. Any thoughts? Good idea or am I just a dummy?

also doesnt hurt to remove the screws, clean out the hole and re anti seize the screws to keep them from seizing up. i think it even says that in the instructions. also for surf i always spray the entire engine bay down with wd40 before and after riding

to add, fp does not adequately chamfer before they tap the the threads for the bleed screws. This creates a raised edge that easily corrodes and locks up. I chamfer(countersink) all new pipes, chase the threads, and apply anti seize. No problem since.

I only have fresh water to play in up here but when I did an overhaul of my FP (new screws & repaint), I wrapped the screws with a good quality teflon tape. It has been a little over a year now and those screws move just like they were freshly installed.
