im running a bone stock 61x 701cc in my AM hull. i wanted to get the hull, trim, intake , pump and handling all setup how i want than i will add brap depending on the hulls performance....hopefully get away with just a pipe, head( already have ada 36cc head) cdi.....

anything i can do to the stock exhuast ?

carbs have been rejetted already....

throw the head on?

Bored Nozzle good bang for buck imo...also if you don't hold it wot try to run 200psi compression on 93 pump gas for nice low end...you would need smaller than 36cc domes on stock bore...btw it should be 37, 35 and 33cc options for 701....Jetmaniac sells custom sizes too.

You can do something with the stock exhaust...see below.

prolly need more than 93 octane with 200psi, i have 35ccs in my bored 760 pushin 180psi, in a stock 701 ADA recommends 38s and 180 is still very high but more stable than 200, and yes the stock exhaust is total junk so if you can get a factory mod pipe that would make things 10x better or if you can find a nice dry pipe which will also work great with higher compression, got my factory pipe type 9 dry for $350 off ebay

If you can get porting templates then sport port it. But you really need an exhaust to really make porting work at its best. Also a lightened flywheel is another great mod.

I'm just gonna run like this till I get the ski going.....

I've owned

Limited 701 (best low end)

7port riva 701 (good mid)

777cc flat topper( good all around)

951 cc in sxr(crazy power from bottom to top)

I'm thinking of saving for a xscream 771 or 900 stock stroke

there aren't a whole lot of cheap mods out there.. I run 61x, bpipe, ada head

best bang for your buck, get a mag pump - huge upgrade worth every penny.

Disagree with this. Waste of $60 and the time to put it on IMO.

100% agree, I got one thrown in my extra parts drawer. Total waste! I dont think the words cheap, good, and mod can all go in the same sentence, lol.

98gti i'll gladly take that lightened flywheel from your parts drawer.
and

eastbay before you throw that stock exhaust out take all the stainless hardware off of it, comes in handy when you least expect it.

Second the mag pump. It will put more of the power you already have to the water. Then when you want to upgrade motor it will be the complete best package. Wish I knew that a couple builds ago....
