There is a Holiday Inn Express 10 miles from Jax Beach. The first year we started riding Jax, we stayed there almost every other weekend. Nice rooms and they have a hot tub and you can walk across the road to Wendy's and get your munchies on. Just don't try to walk thru the drive thru and get Frosty's at midnight, they don't find that funny at all, lol.

The only licensed restaurant I'm aware of in the area is the Sand Dollar and it's halfway between the beach and hotel. We haven't been since they rebuilt it last fall. Best gator tail I've ever had.

How big is the surf at this place usually?

The only time I rode it there was 5-8 foot but that was when Sandy was going by. Just depends on swell, but from vids I have seen mostly 2-5. There seems to be different parts where it breaks bigger. Come on down and get a taste of some salt water you will be hooked!

I called and they have 29 rooms with two queen beds left for that weekend. She said it is a cruise night so we might want to book rooms soon. 89 tax included for the night.

Or they have a two queen and pull out couch(That cant be good) for 110 a night. But only 8 of those.
