Hey and thanks for the reply!!! I was there last month riding with everyone. Got there at 9, still a big group tho. Coming from the marina makes it a bit tough to get there at 7 :/
I hope to hit oceanside more often!

Dope. Just rode last Sunday from redondo to PV to the cave, swells were awesome. Lmk if you ever drop in at redondo or long beach or somewhere more local, but my buddies and I will plan more trips to Oceanside in the near future. :)

I just bought a couple of standup's and want to get in the surf. I'm in Culver City. Let men know when you guys are going out. Thanks:)

Awesome! Congrats! We will be out next Sunday, most likely launching from MdR. 9:00 am. I'll let you know for sure when the day gets closer!
Oh no, I'm working this Sunday! I have a weird work schedule but am off about 1/3 of the Sundays if that when you guys usually go out. Off a lot during the week. We'll just have to stay in touch for the next one.

I will be out of town for a week or so but we should all ride someday? What type of ski fastnlight?
I bought two. The one set up for surf is a Kawi 95 750 SXI with an aftermarket ride plate, impeller and intake. The other one is a 98 Kawi 750 SXI Pro that is built. It as an MSD ignition that is exposed, I was told that its not a good idea to take that in the surf. More of a river ski.

Have you ridden before? It's a long idle out to the open water (2 miles)
I have not ridden the ones I bought yet. Years ago I used to go out at Oil Piers in Ventura before they tore them down. That was a blast! I probably need to get a little lake/river time in before the surf. When you say 2 miles , are you taking about from the ramp?

Hey Fastnlight, I also rode at oil piers every Sat and Sunday back in the day. Too bad they tore those down - it was great to launch and hang on the sand - I think it was Randy that had the quad to tow us up and down - I had a Kaw 750 and my Choc Lab Retreiver with me every time - prob rode with you?

Maybe, but I don't think the 750'a were out yet when I was there. We were using 550's and 440's.

Yes, a little less then 2 miles from the ramp to the open water. In the marina you can't ride the break. So typically the waves are not a big deal. Last Sunday the water was like a flat Lake.

I've ridden the oil piers too in Ventura.
