Any word on these helmets?

I still fear the full face design. And yet, I still have not picked up a Lacrosse or Kayaking one that I really want. Too many close calls lately, and my old lady and sister-in-law now bitch me out everytime I ride without one, after I scared them (and myself a little bit) a few weeks ago. Yes, I am stupid for riding without one, so no need for anyone to point that out. :icon16:

I was thinking the holes were a good thing for water to get out fast. I dont know if thats a problem with other helmets. Im gonna go to a bike shop today and look at the bells and giros, Cant find any specialzed dealers around here tho.

Sxi,

Why do you fear the full face design? if you go riding with it a few times it just becomes natural if you give it time. I felt way weird with kneebraces on while riding bikes but now it's just the opposite. My 2 cents

Probably flashbacks from riding snowmobiles when I was a kid. The helmets weighed as much as I did. I just see me wiping out off my SJ and the helmet acting like a parachute on a drag racer once the helmet grabs the water.

Plus you still have the opening to take the bar to the nose. That's why I am leaning towards a real light lacrosse type helmet with a cage.

I wear a moose carbon helmet and it is'nt that heavy for me, if you are worried about hitting your face as I was for awhile and sometimes still wear them, oakley makes some goggles for the water. They call them the h20 goggle (duh) You could go that route too. I had someone who was a 30 year old guy who has ridden 550's for a while ask if he could ride my ski, I told him sure but you break it you just bought it. he took it out and immediately pins it gets to top speed and then throws him off he played it off but I saw him the day after he wiped out and he smashed his chin and cheek bone into my hood and made him all black and blue. I dont go out unless I have my ff on unless I'm just gooning around the lake. mx helmits arnt that heavy it just takes sometime.

Oh yeah, take the duck bill off too. I almost forgot
