I've never seen a shuttle or rocket launch in real life. Daytona is an hour north of the launch site for the newly debuting SpaceX Falcon Heavy. Anybody else have their fingers crossed the launch window is the same week?

I'm heading down Jan 7th-15th for the Freeride. Elon Musk has his Tesla Roadster as the payload in route for Mars orbit.

I’d love to check out another launch. I saw a rocket launch from Cape Canaveral 20 years ago that ended up exploding in the upper atmosphere.

If Falcon Heavy launched with Elon’s roadster onboard that would be historic, an event to see.

I have been lucky enough to have watched two Space Shuttle launches in person. One from the observation deck at the Space Center and the other from 40 miles away. It's something I will never forget, just amazing. If you can, take a day and tour The Kennedy Space Center, it's so worth it.
