A post in another thread got me wondering how often blasters take on enough water to get saved by their foam. I've gotten away from mine in a 15' break zone for multiple minutes and while capsized, it never sunk or really took on much water. I personally have never even gotten close to sinking one or even hydro-locked an engine in one.

Have you seen/had this happen? What was the scenario??

massive surf and my pump stopped working it was rolled over several times and took me 2 min to get to it and it was sitting low in the water the surf was to big to try and tow so i gave it a go ( side mounted exhaust side )and it started rode straight to the beach when i stopped it was still full off water i don't know how i didn't hydro locked my motor water was up to the carby and 6 months later the motor is fine.......

i've been close to sinking one. had a leaky drain bung and left it parked at the dam for afew hrs. came back to ride it and saw it real low and heavy in the water, 5mins of solid water pumping from the bilge pump and it was sweet. they can take on some water and still manage to get home!!
