I guess I dont get the whole "super moto/motard" thing and street tires, but Im old..lol I just get the semi rounded knobbies and ride my XR650R on the highway and off road. There are some nice looking bikes posted here!

I guess a lot depends on where you live. I know a lot of peeps use these to commute in the urban jungles. Then those gangs that ride wheelies up and down the street and drive the cop nuts.. Thats funny stuff to watch on youtube..haha

I considered sound dual sport tired, but I like the extra traction and lower center of gravity with the supermoto tires.

Never thought about the lower center of gravity thing. I can see where that would make a big diff. Wonder what if would be like to ride a Big red pig like mine with low slicks... hmmm LOL@ the ultimate hooligan machine!

I sold this a few years back. 2006 Husky SMR510. Super fun bike, awesome motor. A friend had the same year 450 and this was definitely quicker. Also had a set of 21/19 dirt tires setup for ice. Sure miss that charging system and heater grips!

I have had a few racebikes, all KTM's, a 450sx, 612 stroker, a 200sx and a 300xc 2 stroke but they weren't fast enough against the competition. My latest is a 500exc with complete suspension setup and a 610cc big bore kit. For the street I ride a KTM 990SMR.

IMG_00000547.jpg IMG_00000546.jpg IMG_00000543.jpg I grooved up a set of old rain race tires to go Flat Track racing this weekend on 3 inches of pea gravel, most likely going to get my butt handed to me. This is just a fun event and no entry fees!!!!

2nd place in one class, ran 2nd in the other but went down once and it cost me a podium finish. It was a gravel 1/2 mile oval flat track. Absolutely sandblasted everything on the front of my shiny KTM.it was fun, fast and filthy! Second pla was possibly the worst place to be!IMG_20160911_164056.jpgIMG_20160911_172354.jpg FullSizeRender.jpg

Supermoto will change your life.

I raced 3 seasons of amateur supermoto. I always enjoyed the reaction of passing people on the motocross track on slicks.

I never rode on the street though.

Edit:that's a gen1 EVS neck brace. That dates me pretty well
