Anyone cruising a cafe racer or bobber?

Slowly creeping my local craigslist for the last 2 years just looking for "the deal". What I though was my unicorn deal ended up being a little more rough then I had thought. But I ended up getting it cheaper so I didn't feel so bad.

Yamaha xs650!

Frame is a 71. Motor is a 79. But from what I understand the 71-72 models were kick start only. So my horn button is now an electric start button, which I for some reason like. Like it's hidden from peoe who don't know. Going to throw a new wiring harness on it because its way cheap, and for the piece of mind because some parts of it are weird. Ordered a sweet low profile light, and hopefully will be getting the seat soon. But I'll probably order a more cafe style seat. Idk yet!

Anyone have any experience with one of these?

1975 RD 250
I did new fork seals, re packed mufflers, a set of bars, grips, new front brake master, caliper and lines. Also added a better ignition which replaced the whole points system with a newer style system like our skis.

I used to have a CB750. Wish that i would have never sold it. Been trying to find it to buy it back ever since. Will probably start looking for one to do up soon. My buddy has a pretty sweet XS650 in the garage thats half started and has sat for years now, but he wont sell it lol. @jeastes1 has a pretty sweet little honda.

Just got my 81 XS 850 up and running. Bought it last fall and it had been sitting for a couple of years. I don't plan on doing a whole lot to it this summer, but if it continue's to run good it'll go under the knife next winter.

I"m enjoying it so far... something about the Yami triples I just like.
You are right, the seat is super ugly but so comfortable haha. I might try to find something a little slimmer for riding by myself and keep that beast for when the lady friends and to cruise.
