I am running into an issue on the 300SX where I need a pole spring, the SN superjet one is about the right design but the inside diameter is too small, I was thinking of making one or several maybe, thing is this is a pretty sturdy spring.Anyone think it is possible to handwind one of these ?

Yes, you can hand wind a spring. There are many sources for shippable lengths of spring stock (including ebay, sometimes), and even some decent online tutorials with tips on how to get a consistant wind. I have a little jig to clamp in my vise. Once you choose the diameter, and wind your spring, you'll need to heat it in your oven before it's ready to use.

You might want to look into the springs on the tow behind dethatchers. I went to tractor supply here and was looking through the tractor parts and found a huge assortment of springs for both dethatchers and machinery parts. Most have a larger diameter and cost under $10. If you don't have a store like that try searching for dethather spring and see what you can find. I ran one of those most of the season last year. It started off great but wore down to a little better than my worn springs but then again, I had a beefy AC pole that it had to support as well.

Mcmaster carr actually has good selection of torsion springs as well in varying diameters and torque ratings.
