Anyone ever put a hand twist throttle on?

Like a motorcycle has? I prefer them to a finger throttle, i just dont know if anyone has realized any drawbacks of this on a PWC.

Back in the mid 90's there was a company testing this idea and ended up dropping it. He told me it was due to the liability. I may even still have the emails as to the specific reason but it honestly doesn't look good technically.

That reminds me of the part in The Addiction where Mac comes around that left hander and appears to twist the throttle. I'm sure he's not, but it looks cool as hell!

drawback is if you fall off your gonna go full throttle with a jet of water comign at your balls, not very safe. However, on a sitdown it may work.

So what's the diff, if you have a finger throttle and you fall off wide open and your hand is clamped to the bar's :bad3:

you would learn it use it just like a finger or thumb.

justride, i was thinking the same exact thing. I can see the point of it getting salted up and sticking. Not good. Also somone made a point of par position and wrist position not being right. That could be also.

I was thinking of doing this on an X2 so the steering is solid mounted. I wouldnt attempt this on a standup machine.

The real reason: imagine making a sharp right turn while giving it gas.
After that imagine trying to do the above and lowering the pole at the same time.
It won't work neither for standup nor sitdown.
