anyone ever thought of riding through venice??

is it legal?? i had a dream about rippin through the water ways of venice last night....man it was an awesome dream!!!!!! but my ski pulls much harder in my dreams than it does in real life:frown:

From what I've heard about venice I dont think youd want to be getting in that water. Never been there myself jsut what I've heard.

pretty much, I dont remember where I heard it from but I think the sewers dump directly into the water there, and it stinks too. I could be totally wrong though, maybe someone thats been there can clear this up.

i guess the oily feeling after getting out of the lake of the ozarks isn't sounding so bad now!!!!

I've heard the same thing, nasty water, plus you'd be arrested or shot on site probably. During the filming of The Italian Job, they had trouble getting permission to go faster than no wake because so many of the buildings can be damaged from wakes, and they could only do like 1 practice and 1 real run so they had to be perfect first try almost.

It'd still be a trip though!

I've been to Venice, this is pretty funny, but I was talkin about it yesterday. It didn't smell like shizzle or anything, but itz very beautiful, the people are very nice. The only thing that I couldn't stand was the thousands of pigeons flying & landing on you in the square.. Yeah I don't think the cabineri, (that like a form of swat in the police)would appreciate it....

I have been there myself, and I can say that the water doesnt stink that I can remember, but it is brown and nasty looking....I think Superjett is right....Most of the buildings are right on the water and are so old that the wake would mess them up....Heck the city is sinking on it own....

Yea it is kind of nasty when you are just floating through the gauntlet and you have to push condoms away from your ski.

I was there a couple years ago and ripping around the canals was all I kept thinking about. I think that about almost everbody of water I see though. They do use the canals as ass dumpsters but you can't tell at all because the tide cleans it out.
