I still say go with the water proof amp, and water proof speakers. Then just put your non waterproof MP3 player in the Dry bag you got from joining the AWA
I knew there was a use for that thing..lol.

I have had one for about two years now and its awesome, we tossed the headphones that it comes with and just bought some around the ear Sony's at academy ( $9 ) They last about a season ( salt and fresh water ) and have a much better sound quality and are less likely to fall off.

Those front footholds I saw on sale are pretty big. Make one a speaker enclosure.
