Anyone have experience with an HPE 819?

I'm looking at buying an HPE 819. Are these good, reliable engines? Do they just run a bigger bore 760 piston? Anything special I'd need to know about them? I had a few motors done by Matt a few years ago and was really happy with them. Thanks Frank.

That is basically a big bore stroker based off older designed race motors. There is alot of info here from when they first came out...

HPE 4mil "bolt in" stroker kit

Polaris rods are 136mm long and use a big pin (22mm) on the piston end. These appear to be Kawasaki small pin by ADR These use yamaha writs pin size. The big end is kawi with thrust washers. We use custom stepped big end pins, custom thrust washers and custom rods on the 4 mil bolt in.

I had one. Wish I still did it was a Good motor had lots of power pulled a tall prop well I had no issues with it. Sold it to a member on here for to cheap but oh well. It was a 5mil stoker lightweight crank 1 of a kind 85bore 828cc I think. Really ran good too cases were slightly trenched and ported by Matt. Hope Matt is doing well he did great work.
