did you check the long exhaust hose? When I ran dual 44's I had this problem. They are different sized carbs than 38's and the hose will block the diaphragm hole.

Yeah not that,,,,, got to be needle seats or pop off to low does any one know what psi a stock boat with b pipe should be at?

Ive never thought of this but maybe that's why mine is hard to start after it sits for a few minutes.....

Yes. My SJ bogged and ran poorly. Cleaned the carb with no improvement. Bought a popoff gauge from JM, $50, found I had leaky needles at 25psi and couldn't even get to 53. New needles and seats with strong pop at 53 and my ski starts right up, runs better, and doesn't use any primer.

any one have new needle and seats for a stock sj 2004?

Jetmaniac probably has them. The yamaha dealer certainly does. You can order them online. You need to buy a pop-odd gauge. Just because you have new needles/seats doesn't mean you will have the right pop-off, your spring could be weak, or you could have a fuel pump issue/clogged filter. Just because you are having this problem doesn't mean it is your pop-off. At $10/ea ($20/set) for needles/seats, you should make sure it's your problem before you start messing with it.

I forget what stock is. I want to say 1.2 with 95gram spring, but you need to look it up because I am just grabbing that from the top of my head. I do know the pop-off should be 53 on your all stock 04, so test it, and replace the parts with stock. If you don't have a stock motor and exhaust, your specs will be different.
