Anyone have Tubbie Install Instructions

Location

I misplaced mine. Anyone have an electronic copy? Or have the meausrements they give you for front to back placement and up down placement specs.

If the measurement are model specific, this is going on an X2.... they probably donthave x2 instrucs so maybe the 650 or 750 SX would be the best bet.

Thanks in advance.

I put some race tubbies on a 750 last year and we actually had to move them back a couple of inches because they wouldn't wrap around the hull. If you want my specs or blowsions call me. 817 296 6491.

i didnt feel the instructions were clear. when i installed them on my 750
each tubbie was molded different so i had to place where they fit the best.

i used screws in other spots to hold them tighter to hull then covered up.

i think it turned out good

these should be in the tech faq.

I'd have to respectfully disagree. If you buy real Tubbies from Blowsion they will come with instructions. If you misplace them and you actually have real ones, Blowsion will gladly email or fax you new instructions. Many of the Tubby measurement threads( not necessarily this one:smile: ) are from people who have bought knockoffs. If you buy fakes you should have to figure it out yourself. Why make it any easier for thieves?:bs2:

are you guys serious??? if someone made a pair themselves you wouldnt help them out with moutning instructions? Gotta be kidding me.

Thanks to the guys who offered help. I just called blowsion and they are emailing them over.

Kaveman, if they dont fit per the instruction i will be giving you a call. How do you like them where you mounted them?

if someones making their own, they might be able to figure out how to install them,

I agree with buying them from blowsion, thats what i did. and they were still not molded the same <<<not starting crap......
i dont have the time to make myself

I did not make them myself, i was just stating that if someone took the time and effort and made them themselves rather then blowing a wad of cash you guys wouldnt help them out? I certainly would.

Blowsion came through though. The X2 installaion is not like any other ski so they really didnt help anyway. I put them about the only place i could that they dont hang off the bottom of the hull and that i still have room to install an exhaust outlet in front of them.

the installation itself is the same but the front back and height from the bottom of the hull is different. IF i went with the 750SX or SXI or teh SJ instructions it put it at a part of the hull that is too narrow for the tubbie and the bottom of the tubbie hangs off the bottom of the hull. I had to move it up a good 4 to 5 inches from the other boats instructions. thats probably even more wince i chopped about 1 - 1.5" from teh back of the hull before i started with the tubbie install.

Ill post pics when they are done

If someone took the time and effort to come up with their own design and make some, I think most would help them out.

I put them on a ski for my friend. He seems to really like them. States that they made a huge difference. We put them 33 1/2" from the rear of the hull. The rear of the tubbie is 3" off the bottom of the hull. The front is 1/2" off the bottom of the hull. Again this was on a 1994 sxi. I've never done an x2. Hopefully this will help.

Thanks Kaveman on the x2 i had to put them about 40" from the rear of the ski. Alot differnt then any other on teh instructions.

I put mine on with Epoxy resin and some biax cloth. Do you guys remove the screws once your resin/5200 cures? Some are sticking up and need to be grinded down.
