Did it a few years ago with a sxr800 spring on a xmetal pole... worked fine... I'll try to find a pic on my pc tonight...

it is a pain in A$$, but it's awesome (the pole will naturally lift up on its own with the spring). i did it on my sxr with the stock spring and it works great. i had to take the rubber bumper off of the spring tho, to make it fit inside the pole. I don't know if it is the same for the superjet tho. It makes riding a lot easier on your back too.

Thanks guys appreciate the info! So if u take out the dual pole bolts and run a stock pole bolt are u able to tighten it enuff to still make the pole semi stiff for no handed aerials? Or is that what you have to sacrifice to have a lighter pole?

You can still have a pretty tight pole with a single bolt. I don't have the x-metal pole but I ran with two bolts on my aluminum pole before putting a stock bolt and springs in it. No spring didn't kill my back but it sure wore me out. I usually ride for extended periods of time without stopping but couldn't ride more than 5-10 minutes without stopping to rest when I wasn't running a spring. Best mod ever.

So if I'm gonna run a single pole bolt is it recommend that I buy a stock pole bolt or a heavy duty aftermarket bolt from Blowsion or somebody else? Sorry to ask so much- just wanna set this ski up right! Thanks again!

I used a single bolt with a aftermarket kawasaki spring, i had the idea to jam the back end up in the x -metal pole hole and therefore i did not have to cut the spring.....the pole is super light and in my opinion much " less tennis arm " than running singles that always come open and stiff pole....

This setup works very well and have seen this boat with the set up.

I liked running a stiff pole until I had unbearable tennis elbows caused from hard stab landings, and other stab like tricks, and the stiff pole. I can still mess up my elbows from landing wrong, but loosening the pole bolt and using a spring helped the elbows tremendously.
