Freestyle Anyone running the Blowsion Kommand Billet Steering System

I am considering getting the Blowsion Kommand Billet Steering System and wanted to know if anyone on here currently running or has ever rode a ski with this steering system. I would love to hear what you experiences were/are with this product before I purchase it.

I am running a q8 with an RRP pole and a kawi mag pump, which means I have to connect my steering cable to the left side of the turn plate. Therefore, my options are limited as to what steering systems are available to me. Also, I primarily ride flat water, as I am nowhere near any surf.

appears to be very similar to the UMI system

I have a UMI on one ski, and a XMW on the other.

the UMI is a bit smoother, but definitely requires more maintenance than the XMW.

I've been running it for the last year with the fat bar clamps and riser bars. I love it.

Why not?
I've been running the same UMI setup (with JSS thrust washers, to be fair) with various steering plates since 2005 in fresh and salt water without any issues.
If it were giving me trouble, I'd consider switching. But as it sits, it has worked flawlessly and with very little maintenance (i.e., grease things every couple of years)

X2. I just switched my Xmetal system out for the same reason. Trashed 2 cables before I wised up. I am wondering if the steering arm needs to be further out from center with the kawi style setup and that is what causes the problem. Either way, the hardware on the XMW system steering arm is about as good as nylon.

What steering system did you switch to?

my xmetal adjustable steering also moves and its annoying. Only the steering cable part move down and starts to hit the pole

I use the Blowsion plate. It's like 1.5" shorter than the UMI. I like the arc it makes better than the longer plate, it looks cool, and I have had zero issues. Even running the original bearings still... It's on an Octane, and I use a superjet cable though, so I needed a rod end ended up modifying a SeaDoo steering cable end...

atp set up runs great. uses the stock bolt rather than a bearing system. i love it
