I know its not really what this forum is usually about but I love the concept of the spark and I know most of you do as well. Is it just me or does yamaha seemed threatened by the spark?

The VX has it's place for sure, but Yamaha is trying to exploit the so called shortcomings of the Spark, which are the exact reasons that some people are looking at the Spark. Yamaha selling Kool Aid and Jedi mind tricks telling "you" what you want.

I saw these vids a month or so ago and laughed the whole way through them. They are scared of the spark for sure when all they can do is a slander campaign against the Spark.
Personally, I think the Spark is a great idea. It'll hopefully bring more peeps back into the market and once they get bored with the Spark they will be looking for more exciting ways to spend money on the water. The Spark is good for the sport...Yamaha's slander isn't. I wanted to comment the heck out of those vids, but the comments are turned off on their YouTube Channel and Facebook page. Wonder why?!

Got to ride an HO Spark on the weekend. It was everything I expected and then some. The Yamaha video was spot on about a few things but anyone with an ounce of experience would point out the exact same thing.
I was a little disappointed in the bottom end at first but as I came in, they told me how to get it into the sport mode and that woke it right up.
It's more torque than snap but I still say it would be a beast in a standup and somebody needs to get it done.

James Masterton from Sydney Sea-Doo here in Australia put the spark engine in an SXR... It didn't work well at all.
Thats not to say it can't be made to work.

I'd be real curious as to why it didn't work so well. Those guys have tons of resources and knowledge so if they couldn't make it work, there must be a significant roadblock.
