Has anyone here switched from the old factory mod pipe to something else and noticed a substantial improvement? I've been running this pipe on my SXI for years and years and about to put all my hardware into an SXR hull. Would just like to hear anyone's experience switching from the mod pipe.

Thanks for your time

if you have a straight chamber, the chamber is going to be a little too long to hook right up to the stock sxr 800 hose waterbox.
the 750 fp exhaust manifold wont work-fit correctly either.

good luck

Sorry......I didn't give enough info. I'm putting all my 750 SXI parts into a bare SXR hull. This (factory pipe) 750 SX mod pipe curves around right in front of the engine. My engine is a big pin 750 big bored to a 83? with an SX cylinder set up for bottom end. This set-up works well but I know the mod pipe is way out-dated and is obnoxiously loud using the resonator with no waterbox. Also not sure how bad the exh manifold or pipe could be choking this engine. May not be choking anything considering there wasn't much left of the transfer ports after droping in those big ass sleeves. We did open em up a lil though.

I'm just looking to see if anyone here has switched from the old factory mod pipe on their 750 or big bore to something else and gained anything substantial.

Thanks again

here's a link to my older thread about a 750sxi pro standup pipe install.
maybe this will help you out on your ski.
it's not as hard on the power band than the 750 limited pipe.
it gave my ski a more controlable ride, and that means a lot to me.

and a lot easier in-off the banana tree !!!
