understood and twinturbostang, i know your haulers have been proven, and at this point i wouldnt use anything else....but im worried about my hitch handling it with my 300-400lb 750 sx, my friend works for a scale company and has like 500+lbs of calibration weight in his truck so im just going to hook up my cargo carrier that i have and load it up with some weight and see if it can take some stress,id rather it break loose on my garrage floor then with my investment on the back. i was just wondering if twinturbostang has ever used one of his haulers on the 02 trailblazer. and what his thought were. and as for the suspension... i dont care about the suspension because most likely after the summer the truck is going anyway NOTE TO SELF: MAKE SURE NEW VEHICLE HAS CLASS IV HITCH lol

It wont break in your garage. A 500lbs hitch wont break when you gently place 600lbs on it. It breaks when you put 600 lbs and impact load it to 2000lbs.

Place a sledge hammer on a piece of concrete. Nothing happens. Swing that sledge from over your head and now you have rubble. That's impact loading.

It's the impact load from adverse road conditions that will cause failure. There's not a great way to test that.

I suppose you could have 4 guys jump up and down on it. That would be a more accurate test, but even then, it wont fail after 4 jumps, but it might randomly a few hundred miles later after it has been impact loaded a few thousand times.

You could build one of those for around $200 and some welding time easily.

They seem to be popular in every other country than ours though lol. Never seen one here.

why not, whats kawi have to do with it? they look safer than dangling it off the back of your truck and can be stored easier than a full size single railer. if they werent 615 pounds or " 900 USD" then i would buy one, but bruceski is right, they are popular just not here for some reason :(

Nassau county south shore. Moved to the middle of the island now. Farmingdale.

It's just funny you keep asking the same question and when you don't like the answers you get you keep asking them.

Ok so i have a 93 750sx and im tired of loading it in and out of the back of my suv and waiting for friends to come help me do so. Certainly a trailer would solve this issue but it also poses another... I dont have any room in my garage or outside for a trailer. I was considering purchasing a hitch hauler that i have seen more people using so that i could slide my ski on and off of my cart so that i could load and unload it by myself. I have seen some guys transform those cargo racks(which i own) into ski haulers by putting bunks on them but for some odd reason i dont trust that. Has anyone used one of these manufactured or custom that would like to share their experience with loading, storing, ramp launching? I am really considering getting one because i can also easily store it. But im worried about my ski hitting the pavement at 50mph. I have a 2002 chevy trailblazer with a stock 2" class 3 hitch i believe....and these carrier things are rated at 500lb. Would the weight of the ski, rack and g-force from the truck bouncing cause the rack or hitch to fail? And how sketchy is backing your truck in the water far enough to unload/load the ski? Somebody please share in detail their experience

Dont hesitate to use one. They work very well. I built one with my dad and we have never had a problem. We actually put a hitch receiver on the end of the carrier so you can tow the boat trailer too. Works well so we dont have to take two cars on family trips to the lake. If you have a wire feed welder just fab one up yourself. If not, ive heard the rad dudes carrier works well. There really nothing that could go wrong as long as no one rear ends you.......anyways, i can post a pic if you would like.

As far as a trailer blazer goes, I do recall selling one to a guy with a trailer blazer SS a few years ago. I think he was on here or pwctoday. See if he says anything.
