Anyone have good pointers or tips for application of large adhesive pieces? I'm using the 3m carbon Dinoc adhesive sheets on a new hull. Besides washing, drying, and making sure its oil/lint free prior to applying what else is good to know? Seasoned advice is welcome. Decals are approx 60" long by 10" wide. Applying above the waterline.

Best advice I have is to have another person over to help. If you're all sprawled out, trying to hold and align it, another set of hands can make all the difference in the world. If you install is crooked, it will bother you forever (that's how I am).

The 3m dinoc carbon is very forgiving stuff. Take your time and use a heat gun to help it conform to tight spots. Try not to stretch it to much. Make sure you post heat your edges as well for a good bond. You also may want to use an edge seal if anything is close to the bottom edge. It's an 8.5 mil vinyl so it has a relatively tall edge. Most of all though TAKE YOUR TIME. PM me if you have a question. At $60 a yard it's very expensive stuff.

Put a tiny, and I mean tiny, bit of soap in a spray bottle full of water. Get the ski and graphics wet. Get it where you want it. Squeegee out the water working from the middle out. Done.

Can we see pics of the graphics or do we have to wait till they are on the hull?

No, just large decal like application down side like Zzylrstra's chan was with that red base and a black stripe down the side right above the bumper line.

I remember talking about that now, are you going to come up to the nose and go back down the center where the pole lays down in the hood?

That's a bright ass chan, looks good.

If you need any more pics of how the stripes are laid out on the red one above let me know.
