Just curious how you are all getting more air out of your v2 hoods. My pole breathers and single dash breather are not enough. Thanks in advance!

I personally haven't had a issue with mine (701) we will see when I get my bigger motor next month

You sure something else isn't wrong? Seems like you should be getting plenty air. Is there an exhaust leak??

That's why I took the hood off as I suspected a minor exhaust leak but didn't see a thing. The motor ran a lot better especially down low. The problem I was having was when I came back into my setup wake and pulled full throttle it wasn't 100% there. With the hood off it was crisp.

I'm only running a powermouse type motor with the php 4mil 800cc pfp, dual novi 48's and msd tl. 148 setback max

Pipe hits well if cruising at mid throttle but coming into tricks it's just not where it should be.

That just makes it sound more like a leak. Crisp with hood off, poor with hood on. Did you look in the garage? Are your breather tubes pencil thin?

I ran a dasa 1000 in a v1 with it only breathing through the rrp pole tubes, no issue. Added hood breathers to see if it made a difference and it didn't.

I am going to add 2 breather tubes to the hood with frogskinz on the outside and see if that changes anything. More air can't hurt. Yes I know it can allow more water but I really think it needs more air.

Post some pics. It really sounds like youve got something else going on. Are your breather tubes getting pinched? Is there a goofy leak from the pipe or like the stinger that slowly fills the cavity intermittently? If you have 3 breather tubes each 2id or bigger thats a good bit of air

The pole tubes do get pinched a little because I am running a stock pole bolt vs pinch bolts.

Put your hood on without latching it and rev the motor. Does it suck down the hood and pull the engine compartment into suction?

You put that vent/air breather right over your carbs
