Aquamoto i want to race. want to help?

Ill start by introducing myself, my name is Robert, i live in Phoenix AZ and ride year round now.

So im going to the aquamoto event in havasu 3-4 and ive already got my funds set for the cost of splitting gas for the trip and gas and oil for the skis. i ride a fx1 with a full 61x/61x motor that goes pretty good, all stock. ive never raced before as mostly i freeride around the lakes and mess around with tricks, but i am a very comfortable rider.

What im looking for is someone to sponsor my race fee to enter (im aware the parker races are at the same time) i would be stoked to even get just one day registerd in wich i will definitely be trying to see how competitive i can be on the track. my ski is stripped of stock decals with very little stickers on it and its a 95 fx1.

What would be in it for whoever is interested is i can run a decal as big as you would like on my ski. room from the nose of the ski to the back of the gunwhales so as big as you want to go im fine with that. i will also be attending the blythe bound smack down to ride parker for the first time wich would entail alot of people to see the decal on my ski throughout the weekend.

If anyone has anyother suggestions or if your interested but maybe want to propose something better im all ears, either way i will be in havasu having a great time with my friends and watching some awesome races. it will be my first race on a jetski, but not my first race and i intend to do my best to make it worth while to whomever may be willing to support. thanks for your time fellow x riders hope to see a few of you in havasu. look for a group that has an eme and a stock fx1 if your going to be in havasu.

You can't really race a fx1, especially stock! You would endanger the other racers lol, like a floating rock that they have to try and avoid!

I disagree. I grew up riding my dads stock fx1 and he raced it every now and then on weekends. It's not the best ski, but it handles pretty good around the buoys without much added to it. Now that ours has a 144 pump and a pipe, it's world's better. I'd still take an fx1 stock over a RN or a SN any day.

Racing an fx1 is still a terrible idea. Maybe for fun, but usually u want to win lol. A fx1 is not a buoy ski by any means. Even if in your opinion it handles good on the buoys, and it does, I've ridden plenty. But racing a fx1 is a lot like racing a 550. Just not anything serious.

That's why there are stock racing classes. To keep everything equal. People still race 550s, I'm sure this guy will be fine with an fx1

Lined up and raced on cleanphxcars.com's dollar and had a great time. Race entry was $65 and for that little money it was nothing to see someone go out and have a good time with their name on your equipment. I didn't even have to put anything on my ski just show them some video from the even. Lots of businesses spend thousands in advertisement and Half the time the advertisement was a waste. Either way if you love an Fx1 and that's your ski it will be fine because you know how to ride it, I had a tough time as far as cornering for sure but due to my lack of racing. The people giving me fist bumps and high fives and photographers with the thumbs up for racing a ski noone else had there. I did get the holeshot every single run and after 2 races I was getting around the track fine and got 3rd and a 5th. Ill put the short video up, I was off the line and around the first turns like a bat outta hell! Good times!

128 haha and I broke my stock bars after the first practice, the flyin Hawaiian had a spare and hooked it up! All stock with RIVA groovy ride plate and jet dynamics grate. Not I have a b pipe and twist head at 170psi. Ill try to get the vid up

Yea kwakhead, I saw that you were trying to get into doing affordable motor work and you shoul know there is alot of skis, most people love the ski they own and don't respect what else is out there. Every machine was designed to do something specific greatly so if I was you I'd be trying to show appreciation to all groups of skis and not knocking said ski based upon how you'd ride it. I hope you help alot of people haul some butt for cheap. A local out here helped me port my motor and it turned out amazing. I could not be more stoked to have a badass engine for as little as I've spent getting to to all come together.

Here it is finally, my girlfriend just made a short vid of the first race, if I put up all the full videos from iPhone it would be alot of me going down but everyone was and it was a good time. Good old fx1.
