Are all MSD's really dead?

The Yamaha XL700 manual has some better specs for testing the AC voltage outputs for each coil on the 62T stator at different rpm ranges.

MSD HElp

I think I may have the same problem my SJ lost spark 1 hour after a new msd was installed. I tested the red/white wire in the ebox and it reads 14.2 ohms, I tested the coil and it reads .3 ohms, I also tried another used coil but no spark. I even sent the MSD back but they said its fine. FOUND MY PROBLEM.. Bad stator.
