If you want to spend money that wont do much for your ski, then go for it. Remember, when you start modifying your ski (assuming your new to it) it will hinder the reliability and or performance. Spending money on mods doesnt always increase performance also. Like others said in your previous threads, save your money and just ride especially since your on a small budget.

Seriously thats it!? I saw a guy sell a pos 550 that didnt run for 650$. I think i can get a little more than that. Might i mention this hull is d@mn near perfect condition, and the engine hasnt have a problem since i replaced the electricals. Compressiin is a little low,but nothing a TE kit cant fix. I think i can hit at least 1000. Theres a lot of retarded rich people that live by me soo

I had a 100% stock 550. Wanted to get it running and upgrade it but I found a score on one loaded with vintage race stuff for 500$ all I had to do was rebuild the motor. (And now replace electronics because it's a 550 lol)

Most js 550's in my area have a 800 askin price and they take forever to sell. I modded the hell out of my first 89 550, horrible waste of time/money.

A) retarded rich people probably won't be buying Clapped out 550s...
B) I see you're in Michigan, don't sell that ski until late May or June when you can get top dollar. I used to pick up running 440s and 550s for $100-200 all day long when I lived in GR in the non summer months

Good answer! 12 years ago when I was looking for my first standup, I wish I was able to start on a superjet. Skip the Kawis and go straight to an older square nose would've been so much better than dicking around with 550s.
