I almost went that route. Then I remembered that if I ever jam or injure that finger,I cant cut the ring off.

Really doesnt matter since I never wear it anyways!

Actually, you can cut the Tungsten Carbide rings off. (Or break them off). Any hospital has tools to get them off.

However,
They NEVER need polishing. (Polish lasts over 50 years!)
They do not dent or bend or scratch.
They do not show flaws or imperfections.
They are 10 times harder than the strongest gold.
They are 4 times harder than titanium.

The only downside is they are heavy. Mine weighs about 3 times as much as my friends titanium one.

i would hate to have to cut it off though
by the time it's done permanent damage could be on top of you.

depends on the amount of swelling and such

i've never seen it but i guess it's possible in this situation . there is this terrible thing called compartment syndrome
it's NOOOOOOOOO fun

i don't wear mine when i ride because it causes a blister from rubbing.

If you lose it, you will be raising more blisters! :naughty:

My buddy had a B-1 disappear this week off a mooring in front of his house.
We searched the entire lake and it is nowhere to be found.
Either sunk (unlikely) or someone got themselves a free B-1:rant:

Funny, Mark doesn't even wear a ring anymore. His was a little snug, so he quit wearing it (I didn't let him wear it to work anyway, so he couldn't crush it onto his finger - he did more manual labor back then), then he lost it (I suspect it got vacuumed up). I wear mine mostly at work, but have to pocket it for surgeries and many procedures.

I never wear it riding - too much risk of it coming off, even though I wear gloves. And I do think it would rub blisters. This is my second wedding ring. I wore the old one out (it was a set, so the bands only wore on one side) and I wasn't wearing one for almost 2 years. Finally got around to buying a new band and went with a plain one so it wouldn't wear out on just one side like the old one.

I guess neither Mark or I are so insecure that we think it's that big a deal to wear the ring constantly. Or maybe it's just cuz we've been together so long, we know the other isn't going to step out and be "looking".
