Just an FYI, those "in elite" have a rim of plastic on them that nearly rubbed a hole in my ankle.
The top 2 choices work great and are dirt cheap!!

Sorry but those model of Asics suck for riding. The middle sole area is the synthetic leather stuff(see pics) and it gets slimy and slick, and your foot will slip big time in that area, especially climbing back in the tray. You'll break your OEM teeth off on something... lol Seriously, these are dangerous.

These are just good for wrestling, not riding stand ups. I’ve tried a couple pairs in the past... I only get ALL rubber sole Asics.

I have an earlier model JB elite, it has same/similar sole area and I had no complains riding surf, doing tricks and I am never slipping.

I will say this was quite awhile ago. Maybe they are using some different material, I dont know. Plus it takes many uses before it gets slippery/slimy. My experience was in fresh water, salt probably keeps them cleaner. I just stick to all rubber soles. Asics and Nike are my fav...
