ATP total loss or MSD total loss

I was just wondering if somebody ever tried them back to back .I know the ATP is a lot easier to install but from your experience which one is more powerful and reliable,
I had a MSD and the brain give up after just a year and very little used,

thank you

Imo the difference really is one system uses an oem coil and the other 2 giant high voltage coils. I think the high voltage coils are going to make more spark energy all of the time. The atp uses that twin spark concept they talk up a lot based on dyno numbers. What matters is what happens on the water. I'm not totally convinced the oem coil has enough charge time to support it. But It seems to work well in smaller cc application

Check the rewiev section ther is a thread about it, i hade good luck with a gen 1 ATP on a JM 718 got a 1000 dasa and a new ATP gen 1 system. It did no work well att the ende changed too stock 61x system and all was good. I run a MSD TL now on a 865 cc and love it spende the time on a good inclosure for it, and run multibel grounds

I have. Back to back T2 vs digital msd with aggressive curves on a TPE 1105. MSD noticably stronger.

That being said I currently run an old flame on my surf ski and it has been solid and I'm happy with it.
