The steering cable housing stop/holder is pretty robust and I like it but it took a bit a machining before I could fit the heavy duty Blowsion steering cable in it. That was kind of a pain but its done and works great. Ther are also a couple of places to bolt the housing stop in so you can keep the lowest stress possible on your cable. That is a really nice feature.

I have this pole and my steering cable is too big to fit the holder. How did you go about the modification?

Sorry for delayed response. Haven't been on the X much lately. I drilled the inner and then carefully carefully dremeled the notches. Had to take it with me to the hardware store to get a couple grinder bits that were close enough in size to work. Grinder bits aren't really the way to do aluminum but you go with what you have available.
