Weigh it, dunk it, and weigh it. I got 100% closed cell polypropylene and it gained 10 pounds after I filled it with water. Mine was for RC Planes and all the channels between the closed cells filled with water. Yours looks better and is obviously made for flotation so I would think it would be fine.

I listened to some thread about how polypropylene won't break down with gas like polystyrene. That kayak foam is polyethylene which is what gas tanks are made of so I would guess it to be fine. It might weigh a little more from the start would be the only downfall that I could see as it says high density.

Was thinkingnof that rc plane foam, dad has some at his house lol. Well as long as its cushy and wont suck up too much water im glad lol. Ill test it out with your method though. What weldwood should I use to glue this and the turf down?

DAP Original in a red can. Not the gel stuff that is almost identical on the outside. It's at the local mom and pop hardware here by the paint section and probably at the big boxes too.

He used the Austin Kayak stuff recently maybe he'll chime in. I plan to put it on a hull soon as well as they are just right down the road here from me.

i have my tray filled with it and havent noticed any water saturation. its great stuff imo.
addicts road with it, and flipped it with just the half inch pad. i think its more forgiving then others
and doesnt seem to get a memory or smashed from kicking in the holds like some do.

When you first said foam, I thought flotation foam, not underpadding foam. You're definitely straight
x2 I thought this was foam used for flotation,

-good Idea Fro about anti fatigue mats I have a bunch of hose interlocking puzzle types laying around and have spilled all kinds of chemicals on them and never noticed any breakdown or absorption

Anyone have any experience with the 4mm hydro turf the have in close out/ clearance on ht? Was going to get b stock but wanted to get the most bang for the buck. How is it for our applications?

That's what the grey pad on the sides on mine is.

There is a guy on eBay that sells it cheap and ships almost as fast as the maniac.
