B.O.B gen 2

I have a 2011 glass gen2 and love it! Only rides nose high when I want it to (I'm only 140lb maY play a part in that) and is crazy stable coming from my super jets. Super easy hull to adapt to I had only been riding stand ups for 4 months before I first got the bob and I could backflip it off a boat wake the second time I got on it and felt very comfortable on it almost instantly. Not very good for high speed runs but hey it's a freestyle hull and it does what it was made to do, backflip with a small motor. I would recommend this hull for anyone who wants to get into AM hull world and learn how to backflip but can't afford a big CC power house.

rode a glass gen 2 900 10mm with 148. Found ski surprising stable. had lots of fun. Very Affordable option. Owned the hull for a short period of time. BoBs are very plug and play with superjet setups which is nice for quick builds.

I enjoy mine. It takes time to get the nose to lay down like you want. But does everything I could ask for with a small engine. I'd like to put a stroker and 148 setback in mine. I wish mine wasn't a competition layup. I'd like to take it in the surf. I'm sure aerial trucks would be effortless on a bob

Just reinforce it, that's what I did to mine. Kevlared the whole inside and derik said its good to go for surf now.

Sorry that I keep repeating this, but I'm just trying to make sure everybody realizes that you can rate a product using the thread tools at the top of the page. It's right next to search thread, display, etc. It's directly above the original post, and it has a drop down arrow. It's super quick and super easy. Got it?
Thanks :)

Had one, thought it was too much of a one trick pony. Flipped and spun easily kinda sucked for everything else. It was fun if you were riding 30ft. Off the shore line and would definitely ride again if available but would not own.

So it's a year later. Still like the hull? I'm in the market for an AM hull and have seen a few bob gen 2s. Go for one or look at something else? I'm coming from a 94 701 square nose. I like to chase boats and ride on a 600 acre lake. Not really looking for flatwater but have about a $4000-$5000 budget.

Yea definitely go with a gen 2. I just picked one up this week as well. It's in your budget forsure. Seen a few gen 2 on here for sale lately.

Then a Bob isnt for you. They dont chase boats well and are specifically made for doing backflips on flat water.
If youve got $5k to spend check out the hurricanes. Ive never ridden one but i hear they are a huge improvement over the bobs.

If it's meant for flatwater then I'm game. I was referring to spending $10,000 plus on a 900cc flatwater ski. That's not on the works now. I don't just chase boats for miles I like to ride around and hit boat waves. Just clarifying that. Again our lake is small at 600 acres so the biggest boats we have are ski boats.
