Most guys only open the bottom screw. As for the actual screw setting, you need to figure that out for your setup using Factory Pipes instructions.

there are many ways to ajust a pipe.porting, carb, motor size, prop, pump.all affect your pipe tune.if you want the most low end open only the top screw start with 3/4 of a turn and work ur way in.the rest closed. lite sizzle after 30 sec wot. then try and open the mid ajuster and c how it affects the tune. carb jetting can also be affected by messing with the water screws so be carefull.

Exactly the point and one of the major benefits of the pipe. It's a tuneable pipe. If there was only one opinion then it would just come like that as a non adjustable pipe. The fact that it's tuneable offers up options as well as complications. It takes 20-30 minutes to try a multitude of settings. You have to find the one that works for your riding style.

Read the FP setup, but try some different settings. It's not too hard, really. I've used both the top and bottom screw open only and the others closed. I've found my best response came with the bottom open 1/2-3/4 and the rest closed. What makes this job a biotch is the screws. Find the thread with the adjustable T-handle screws (BK twisters) for FP and buy a set. It will make this tuning 1000x easier. I bought a set for like $36 and it makes all future adjustments a breeze. Good luck.

i already read the FP site n tuning recommendations

and all i was saying is that there had to be a setting that people with my setup like to run or recommend especially with the amount of time the pipe has been on the market and the amount of people that own it

but jetmaniac pmed me and answered my question

told me either 1/2 top 1/2 bottom mid closed or middle 3/4 rest closed so im gonna go with that thanx again to yall for the info/help!

Is it just me, I spent a day adjusting the three screws in every combo I could think of, I couldn't feel a difference. Without a dyno or a tach maybe a seat-of-the-pants tuning is not practical?

I think the amount of water pressure you put on the head pipe effects the tuning to a large degree ie. ( Restricters ) Also make sure your ports are clear . I can tell a difference in how the motor runs out for sure depending on adjustments . I'm to lazy to unbolt the head pipe to mess with the bottom screw over and over so I just trust The Mez on that . I agree with Scott that some way of concrete measurement would be very help full to tell where " optimum " is .
