Super Jet B-pipe clamp problem

Location

The other day I was jumping and one of my clamps came loose. It was one of the 2 that covers the rubber piece at the end of the B pipe(see pics. It is the clamp on the left side of picture) I purchased a new clamp, as the old one kept coming off. I used some degrease on the rubber piece to no avail. This one clamp, where the rubber meets the metal keeps coming lose and I do not solution. Any ideas? Thanks in advance

Is it possible that you are not getting the clamp perfectly positioned? The outlet of the headpipe has a raised lip to capture the clamp completely and if you get a portion of the clamp held up on that lip it may loosen up if it moves in any direction. It's hard to get it perfect by just looking at it so you have to reach under the head pipe and feel for the alignment. Often it looks perfect from above but a quick feel will show you otherwise.

I had a similar problem.
My chamber wasn't aligned properly with the headpipe. Every time the clamp was tightened, it would follow the angle of the chamber, and slip off the silicone coupler. It may have been that my coupler was too short, i don't know.

I got around it by disconnecting my pipe from the waterbox, aligning it properly (in my case, lowering it) and tightening the clamps. I then reconnected to the waterbox, and used hydroturf to pad where required.

My issue started when I tried to space the pipe nicely so that I wouldn't have to pad it.

Edit: I would try tightening it onto the headpipe, then fit the chamber

You are using the wrong type of clamp. A standard clamp will not stay put, it will always loosen up. You need the hi torque type that they sell with the pipes...in the pictures the right side one on your setup looks like the correct high torque type, the left is a standard clamp. They are about 9 bucks from a Hot Products dealer

Just for clarification, the parts in your picture are: Headpipe - that curved elbow pipe piece, Chamber - the bare AL fat pipe that goes up and squeezed between your hull and gas tank, Coupler - the flexible section of hose that's a couple inches long and like 4" diameter, Clamps - obviously you know what those are. Not pictured: Manifold - the part that bolts to the side of the cylinders and the Headpipe bolts to it.

Now, I see you say you "used some degrease on the rubber piece". Can you clarify? You de-greased the rubber piece, or did you lube it up with something? These couplers should be put on with no grease or lube at all, and if you need, a little windex will act as a lube to get everything together, but then dry.

Also, as stated, the clamps are incorrect. You should be able to get some good quality clamps at a semi-truck shop.

thanks for everyone's input. I purchased better clamps and will attempt tomorrow. I will also try and align the b pips better. I think those are my two problems.
