B-Pipe difference

Does anyone know what the difference is between the up to 1995 superjet and the 1996+ siperjet limited b pipes? Is the manifold different? Any help or information is appreciated. Thanks
 
I would assume the manifold is different because after 95 they switched over to the 62t. So up to 1995 would have a 61x manifold and 1996+ would have a 62t manifold.

I don't know exactly but I know that ^^^ is wrong. All use 61x cylinders.

I expect it is bore diameter inside headpipe.
 
That's what I was thinking but wanted to make sure. I just got a 2003 RN and bought a brand new limited bpipe in May but was having a tough time getting it to fit in the RN. Thought I needed a different set up but might just need to adjust the chamber? I'm not sure. I gave up yesterday and will look at it later

I wouldn't be surprised if there's no difference except they sell you an extra set of jets for the 96+ for $35.

Also you have the limited which chamber is longer making it a beach to fit that's all.
 
Is a limited chamber a pain to install in a RN? I just couldn't get mine to line up correctly. I didn't move the motor at all but for some reason I thought I remember reading you had to or it's easier to. Just trying to do the least amount of backtracking as possible.

It is a b to install. Take out the gas tank, stick the coupler on either the head pipe or the chamber(which ever is harder) use lots of soapy water and after a lot of swearing it will go on.. eventually.. also don't forget to hook up your starter and water lines first.

COMHOS0135 is included with the newer kit.

Manifold, headpipe, and limited chamber all the same.

Pull the tank for the limited chamber install.

I definitely threw some m-fers out there and yelled at the stuff in the way. I started to pull the tank then thought that will be a b***h to get back in too!
You did not remove the tank? You really made it difficult! Tank and battery takes about 2 minutes to remove.

4 straps, Remove 4 m6 bolts and pull the battery tray out, loosen up the fuel filler neck, Pull the Fuel Pickups off the top of the tank unless you have a stool next to ski to set Tank on with hoses connected. (Not Recommended)

From the very first paragraph in the instructions;

Remove the battery, battery box and the empty fuel tank. Note - you may be tempted to install the pipe without removing the gas tank and battery, it's not worth it!

My pipe has a precision dent to clear the motor mount. I have a small piece of turf on that spot to keep it from rubbing the chamber when it does hit

The 701 B pipe really is pretty easy to install as far as aftermarket pipes go....

I shim the water box up some with turf to raise the pipe stinger up for better motor mount clearance.

Note, you will need to grind some of the ribs out of the hull as well for clearance.

Regarding the differences I thought the earlier style head pipe and manifolds were a smaller diameter, or was that only on the old 650 style pipes?
