So for a non PV motor, the consensus is around 45 - 46ish mm? I have a brand new pipe sitting in a box and I haven't had the chance to measure it (out on business at the moment).

Not reall outlet size is formulated by what kind/size of motor you have. I have a non PV motor and was told that I needed a 49mm outlet. I have a 5mm ada motor with 86mm bore which converts to 848cc. The motor ran last year with a 42m outlet and I was told that it was a monster. I can't wait till this year.

Good point. How about for a ported 61x?

Me too, can't wait to see if there is a difference. I've been running a 42mm 650cc one and just opened it up to 45-46mm last night. :Banane01: Just used a drill and a rasp bit.

Can someone enlighten me on what a "rasp" bit is. I want to do this mod asap since i have the crappy 650 head pipe.

Those rasp bits are for wood.

You need a carbide burr with a cylindrical radius end number SC-6 or SC-7.

Also a large diameter sanding band tool with 50 or 80 grit bands work well too for enlarging the exhaust manifold and head pipe.
