B pipe NOISE restrictor?

is the plate inside the pipe (on the stinger end) necessary? Ive heard its a noise reduction thing...
I like my exhaust loud as possible but i know pipes are designed for maximum performance and dont want ot remove something important

I believe that is there for extra support from cracking due to vibration.

I agree completely, yet the X-metal waterbox is all the rage now. My personal experience is that if anything, you make less power with it. What's really ironic is that the same people that tell the 440/550/650 guys not to run an aftermarket waterbox are the same ones that believe in the x-metal. Go figure......

Why are you nearly deaf? Just curious, thats all...
I would think a loud as can be ski would be the last thing you would want for your ears( to help keep from going completely deaf).
