B-pipe set up...

The pics I posted previously show the problem. With the kawi limited chamber and the stock indexed manifold the chamber will not fit flush with the head pipe. There is a considerable gap. Perhaps if you had a large coupler it would make up for it. I had the blaster mod chamber that sah225 has and I always thought it would fit but never tried. I ended up selling it.

Here's the deal...
The mod pipe fits fine pictured on the yellow ski.
The blue exhaust manifold is the one for the limited setup but has too much indexing and the head pipe hits the hull.
The stock manifold leaves a gap.

If you look at the 3rd pic with the WC manifold you can see the chamber hitting the lord mount. This is exactly what happened when I mocked up the Blaster Mod pipe. Just hack the lord mount off and you're good to go. I also had to shape the front of the SJ tank but maybe a 550 or other tank would work better.
I decided to stick with the SJ tank because of the SJ waterbox and right rear exhaust.

PS - I'm sah255 on pwctoday.....

What would happen performance wise if you made some sort of adapter to fill that gap? Couldn't you make a longer coupler out of marine exhaust hose and mount the pipe properly to keep it from popping off that way you shouldn't need to mold the tank?

You would definitely change the performance characteristics of the pipe.......probably for the worst.

Again, cut the lord mount off the exhaust manifold. This will allow the chamber to hug the engine and line up with head pipe. When I put the Blaster Mod pipe on without the cut lord mount the 3rd pic was exactly how mine lined up.

My concern is that you had to mold a SJ tank which doesn't sit as close the the motor as the stock X2 tank does.

eitherway, I think I found a blaster limited chamber... Now to find a headpipe.

Tom and I were looking at the kawi Limited chamber today. We think it will fit, even with the stock fuel tank. It will not work with Kawi Factory manifold, but we do think the west coast manifold can be modified to work.

I took a look at how the B-pipe will fit into the hull. The B-pipe will not fit into the X2 hull with a factory manifold. Tom and I do think it will fit in with a modified westcoast or stock manifold. The westcoast has a mounting spot on the manifold that interfeared with the alignment of the Kawi limited chamber, but we believe that if this mounting part is ground off, everything will fit. The kawi limited chamber should fit in with the stock fuel tank. It appears to have the clearance. However... I will have to make a custom mounting bracket for the chamber, because the mounting bracket provided with the limited chamber would force the chamber to align with the front of the cylinder, and that just aint gonna happen.

I haven't tried. I just got a new bearing housing, waiting on my pump from Exactal Tool, I'm putting in the timing advancement plate and having the flywheel lightened all at the same time. My engine is in my SX right now until I have all the parts.
