I have mine about a 1/3 closed on the top and the middle and bottom screws open. Hits pretty hard!!!!

Since my ski came with the pipe and I haven't adjusted it... is there anything to know?

Also, by adjusting the PIPE do the carbs need adjusting or not ?
Do I need to use anything to keep the threads in or what?

Thanks

Per Factory-Pipe
For the
701 SuperJet we suggest closing the top and middle screws and opening the bottom screw one
turn. You may adjust this later to suit your riding style.
....
With the pipe adjusted as stated above, open the top screw 1/4 turn. This will cool the exhaust in the headpipe
and provide better bottom end performance at the expense of some top-end. This would be an
ideal setting for running slalom or a tight buoy course.

Carbs need to be adjusted via the mikuni manual(if you haven't read it yet download it) and make sure you rejetted for the factory pipe(usually 135 on the main jet and either 70, 72.5, or 75 will work).

You tune your pipe depending upon how much it sizzles. You want it to lightly sizzle so you won't be melting couplers and run too hot. Believe me, it makes a huge difference even if its just a quarter of a turn.

Open means the screw is not all the way closed. If you have turned it all the way and you can go nomore its closed and tighten down the locknut. Otherwise, turn it to where you want it(loosen locknut first), adjust screw with special allen head(1/2 turn, 1/3 turn, etc...) then tighten down locknut again. You will have to experiment which setting is the best for you.

Every setup is going to be different due to water pressure variations, so you should tune it and try different settings to see what works best for your's.

I typically open the bottom screw like 1/16 of a turn just to have a little spray there, then use the middle screw to get my power how I want it.

I'd leave the top one closed as it makes it very likely you can get water in your cylinders when shutting off in the water. Over time that can hurt.
