B-pipe "Wammer Mod"

Hi all,

I just wanted to know what are the advantages and disadvantages of running this type of cooling setup on a B-pipe. Any opinions from users?

its not just the dual cooling that you get with his "wammer" mod

they also port match the the head pipe and clean up the casting defects inside the manifold

dual cooling...im not sure if there are any adantages other than being able to run your ski in warmer water

think of dual cooling like an insurance item. it helps so if one hose coming from the pump gets clogged with sand you will still have one extra hose pumping water from the pump to keep everything cool...

assuming your pump is tapped for duel cooling....

from what ive read, dual cooling is not necessary if your running stock compression right? dont you have to have dual on the head aswell to run dual from the pump?

true dual cooling is 2 coming from the pump, 2 going into the manifold, 2 coming out of the head, 1 of the head one goes to a bypass pisser, and the other goes into the head pipe, then 1 out the head pipe into a T fitting, one end of the T fitting to another bypass pisser and the other to the stinger

FYI, any reputable shop in the business does the same thing.

I know that Jetworks can port, bore, & match manifold and headpipe and hook you up with dual cooling.
I believe it's well under $150 for all that. Call them to confirm, though.

Harborfreight sells a dremel tool for $10, grinding bits for $5, and a tap and die set (which you'll need anyway for the pump) for $13. With a bit of patience, you can accomplish something very close to the Wammer mod. Is it as high of quality work...no. Will you really be able to tell the difference...probably not. Actually, once you have the tools, you can go one step further and bore your manifold and head pipe to a larger diameter. 46mm is popular but others have fun 48-50mm bores on the b pipes.

Then I got a wammer mod pipe. The manifold is 50mm. The ports in the manifold are polished.

Can I run this type of setup without having aftermarket head? Probably a silly question from my side...
