B1, does a Wetjet pipe fit?

I keep reading conflicting stories about a Wetjet pipe in a B1. Some say all you need is to rotate the end, some say you have to hack the Hull and move the e-box.

I wish my main computer/office was not taken apart into the garage right now (building a nursery for new baby) - I will see what I can dig out later today though. I purchased one from a very reputable member here a few years ago for my 96 build &, for me anyway, the answer is NO. Rotating the outlet is a given & would not have posed a problem, the head bracket & assembly also fit ok, my problem was the manifold. To mount it properly to the motor I would have had to bulge the hull, even after grinding some metal away & welding a repair it wasn't going to happen - I spent an entire weekend trying to figure out how to get it installed, no dice. I wound up doing what I should have from day one & bought a FP mod setup - I was able to return the WetJet pipe for a refund but what a hassle.
I have since been told (cannot verify this) that those pipes came with 2 different size mani's & the shorter/smaller one will work - I had the larger. I do not know if it is true but from some of the listings I have seen pics of there definitely appears to be a couple different sizes.
My .02 - save yourself the time/trouble/aggravation & just get a FP setup. Can buy new mani & headpipe from FP at certain times of the year & chambers are not that hard to come by here & other places. I have heard good things about Coffmans & Riva pipes but have no experience with them.
Hope this helps

So I'm digging thru my external backup hard drive (HIGHLY recommend to everyone btw) and realize I misspoke a bit. This was allegedly a WestCoast pipe made/altered for a B1 that I bought but I understand that WestCoast made the WetJet pipes also & basically the same thing.
Anyway the mani bolted right up real purdy, reinstalled motor & could not get the 'headpipe' to fit - no way/no how. In order to attach it the motor had to be slid over an inch forward, obviously not realitistic - or the hull needed to be bulged & I'm no fiberglass guy...

Hope this helps - I'm no expert on the older WetJet/WestCoast pipes, maybe one of the guys that was building skis back in the day when these were new could chime in. I can tell you that I wasted more time then I care to admit with this thing & I couldnt be happier with with the FP mod pipe setup I'm running nowadays (thanks again ExtremeThrottle Dave for all the help & answers back then!)

I was looking for a cheap option for a loaner ski. But I can tell you that looks like a WR3 pipe with the location and angle of the outlet. Thanks for the info!

I have one in my ski I had to modify the hull so it'd fit though. You can see in the pic where I bulged out a little bit in the tray and flatened the cutout under the seat. I really like this pipe because the stinger runs straight back into my waterbox which is under my feet in the back.

By chance do you have more detailed pics of your hull mods to fit the pipe? I was going to clock the outlet but i like your idea of a rear waterbox, did you use a specific one? Thank you
