b1 drypipes

The type 9 Factory pipe is the high rev/octane pipe. This pipe is VERY short, and pulls goof top end. But, without water injection, a stock Blaster will stroke it off the line. I am running one of these on my Wammer Mod Blaster and it runs good. But it I could get the speedwerx to fit in my hull, I would change to it.

That makes sense the guy i was talking to said its ok off the line and then it just kills every one up top

he has a 8mm stroker lamey
so you would expect that

I had the High rev on a 6mm round top lamey and it wouldn't even get up on plane without running the ski very lean on the bottom. Then it was a complete light switch when it hit. When I built my longrod flat top PV lamey, it was fine. The original motor ( the round top 6) with a speedwerx dry pipe from a SJ hit substantially harder and pulled the same R's on top. Unless you are planning on upgrading to a PV, don't go with the high rev.

It's manatory to have a very good ignition w/any dry pipe in a blaster (higher load on motor than a SJ), You need a very agressive amount of timing down low for throttle response and need a fair amout of retard up at top RPM's especially if running pump gas!
Advent CDI or Wax Racing CDI will work well, I will tell you also need to look for 62T stator and flywheel, as you will need them to run these cdi's! You can't use the 61x stator as they're resistance values are different.

supertune ive got a complete 62t ignition- lets talk turkey- whatcha get for a new advent set to those specs- do you have these in stock- shoot me a pm of if your cool with posting it out here for everyones learning- this has to be a pump gas friendly motor- id love to go racing, but it will spend 99% of its life messing around or spraying bonzia bob in the face when he falls off his square which is quite often- limited access to race gas out here and in my wallet

i don't know anything about the type 4 or 9 wax. the high rev version is an octane pipe.

if you can get the r&d to fit it is great. but you need to do major manifold work to get it to fit.

i don't know anyone yet who has done it, others have talked about it but i have never seen it.

yes they made a sj and blaster speedwerx pipe. i have the sj version in mine, blaster 212 has the blaster version in his . they do look a bit different.

lee- ive got a opportunity to score an r&d for a great price w/waterinjection- on the manifold do you know if its supposedly too wide or long- ive been looking at the pics, but ive never seen one in person- if no one has done it then that sounds like a cool project- ive also heard these pipes kick a$$, but are prone to cracking without added gusseting or support? heard anything about that?- thanks for all replies everyone:hail: :Banane09:

Does Speedwerx still make the blaster dry pipe? I never see used ones for sale.

they were not that popular because of cost. the guys at speedwerx told me they still had the stamping but they would need to be welded up by the buyer. you can make a sj pipe fit pretty easy. i know i had to notch my footwell to get mine in.

the r & d is probably the baddest 701 pipe, but it will definitely not fit the blaster without work. the manifold is huge on the r&D, i am sure it can be made to fit...... with enough time and money you can fit anything.

yes they crack sometimes, but it is usually repairable. i have one in my sj, it is the wet version but it pulls really good.
